Rosemary Mose

Kia ora and talofa lava KNS whānau! My name is Rosemary Mose, and I am humbled to have served on the Karori Normal School Board of Trustees as an elected parent representative from 2023 - 2025.

As many of our community know, it was not an easy three years. We remember with love, our former principal Conrad and fellow Board member Joe. As a Board during this time, we worked alongside school leadership and navigated as best we could, firmly committed to supporting our KNS learners, teachers, support staff, families and the wider community.

Highlights of my Board term included developing our KNS Strategic Plan with staff, students and community which outlined our shared aspirations for our tamariki, serving at the School Gala (go the wonderful PTA who had us running between stalls!), meeting parents and students at different school events and activities and appointing our current tumuaki, Caro Wills.

I am humbly standing again for re-election so I can continue to support our school community and believe it is important that KNS has continuity of governance at the Board level.

For those of you that do not know me - I am a proud New Zealand born Samoan, married to David and mum to Lesina, Shiloh and Michaela (all of whom have been through KNS, with Lesina in Year 4 this year).

I am a lifelong educator and have worked in education for 20+ years. I am deeply committed to ensuring that all learners can achieve their educational aspirations and can go on to live their BEST lives! (whatever that may look like for them).

I love giving back to KNS and have particularly enjoyed coaching netball over the last 6 years. I am a co-coach of the Year 8A team who are getting ready to represent KNS at AIMS games in Tauranga next month. Through my engagement with netball, wider school sport, culture and the arts - I have been blessed to have engaged with lots of awesome KNS students, staff, parents, and families.

I look forward to working with you all over this board term if I am re-elected.

Faafetai tele, ngā mihi nui ki a koutou and God bless
